Argonne research and development (R&D) staff can learn about opportunities for collaboration at an Exascale Computing Project (ECP) town hall meeting. The event will include an overview of the ECP, a collaborative project involving dozens of members of Argonne's research and leadership computing staff.
Staff working on ECP-funded activities will present short updates on their work, followed by a question-and-answer session. Those staff members will be available to discuss their projects one-on-one at a poster session following the presentation.
All interested employees are welcome and encouraged to attend.
About the Exascale Computing Project
The ECP is responsible for developing the strategy, aligning the resources and conducting the R&D necessary to achieve the nation's imperative of delivering exascale computing by 2021.
This $3-billion-plus project is a collaborative effort of the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science's Advanced Scientific Computing Research Program and the National Nuclear Security Administration that is focused on DOE's science and energy missions, national security needs and key science and technology challenges.
Information on the ECP program is available on the project's website.
