The presentation will cover the NCAR Climate Computing workflow and the challenges that are encountered across the simulation and data analysis elements of the workflow. The strategy includes engagement of HPC experts, climate software developers, mathematicians/statisticians, climate scientists, computer scientists, and vendors. The presentation will include overview of NCAR's data intensive computing environment, application of optimization and verification strategies, CMIP (Coupled Model Inter-comparison) post-processing workflow enhancements, the newly deployed CMIP Analysis Platform and other data and visualization efforts related to Climate Science at NCAR.
