Varuni is part of the data science group and works on the AI testbeds at the Argonne Leadership Computing facility (ALCF). She focuses on profiling and benchmarking of non-traditional hardware accelerators for AI and scientific machine learning applications. Her research interests includes high performance computing for large language models, dataflow architecture and scientific machine learning. 

Varuni joined Argonne as a pre-doctoral appointee at the Data Science and Learning division in 2021. Prior to that, she graduated from Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Virginia Tech and has had a long standing career in embedded software.
